Hi Steve
I have just had a test sheet failed by napit on the R1 R2 details. I have always understood that this is the highestfigure on a ring circuit figure 8 test i.e. on a spur.
Please confiem A.S.A.P.

Kindest Regards

Yes David. On a ring circuit fig of 8 highest reading which is prob a spur. What was the reading and why did they fail it?

Had to retire to care for wife 24/7; unfortunately, lost her in June ’12.
At 81 too old to go back, but still busy as a fount of all knowledge to former colleagues and ex apprentices.
Belated happy new year to all.

Thanks Albert. All the best to you. -Steve.

This is a great site Steve.
Fair play mate it’s really nice to see you make a massive effort and I know it’s very much appreciated, especially by me.
Thank you steve

So many fail because consumers will persist in drying clothes on storage heaters; in effect, the stat will only operate during the charging cycle, leaving residual heat to operate the limit stat or thermal cut out (thermal link in some units)

Problems with your storage heater?
Most common reasons why a storage heater(electric heater) stops working is due to a faulty thermostat or a blown element.Thermostat and elements have been known to need replacing every couple of years.Only qualified electricians or engineers should attempt a storage heater repair.
You know when an element fails as a section of the heater turns cold.
If a storage heater stops working that means a faulty thermostat.
