As electricians, the way we work and the procedures we follow are very personal. We each build up an arsenal of skills and knowledge which are acquired through combination of our own experiences and those passed down to us whilst we were training.

 

But things change and although there is always undeniably more than one way to do a job, we should generally all be striving to achieve the same outcome.

 

The Electrical Safety Council have published a series of Best Practice Guides which are FREE to download.

 

These include:

  • Replacing domestic consumer unit where lighting has no earth

  • Safe Isolation Procedures

  • Connecting a Micro-Generation System & mains supply

  • Periodic Inspection Reporting

  • Electrical Installations/ Impact on Fire Performance
