City & Guilds Electrician’s Qualifications and C&G Electrical Courses

Some readers have asked for clarification and information on City & Guilds electrician’s qualifications and  electrical training courses.  The course numbers can be a little confusing so these are the updated details of the most popular courses taken from info I received about electrician’s qualifications for 2011.

Here are just a few examples of the courses available and approximate costs:

C & G Electrical Courses for 2011

C&G 2382-10 – 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (Full Course) approximate cost- £360 for a 3 day course

C&G 2382-10 – 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (Fast Track) 1 day

C&G 2382-20 – 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (Update) 1 day

C&G 2377-200 – Basic Portable Appliance Testing approximate cost- £330 for a 2 day course

C&G 2392 – Fundamental Inspection & Testing approximate cost- £590 for a 4 day course

C&G 2391-10 – Advanced Inspection & Testing approximate cost- £550 for a 4 day course

C&G 2391-20 – Design & Verification

C&G 2399-01, C&G 2399-11 and C&G 2399-12
Installing & Testing Domestic Photovoltaic (PV) Systems Certificate.
Details- For electricians wishing to self-certify solar PV installations through the NIC’s MCS Installer Scheme.
Approximate cost £720 for 4 day course
