Being an Electrician is great.  But sometimes it’s not easy…

What is ElectriciansBlog.co.uk?

It’s a website (actually a blog) packed with useful information for UK Electricians.

Who produces it?

ElectriciansBlog.co.uk is produced by Steve Kirby, an electrical contractor for over 25 years.

Why?

Electricians are on the frontline when it comes to safety and keeping up with the latest technology.  Therefore we always have a need to ‘fill the gaps’ in our knowledge.

Access to information has never been easier but too much information can be overwhelming and knowing where to look is half the battle.

Help is at hand.

Take a look at the links below

and don’t forget these great BONUSES !

hello, I am after a electrician who can manage a power shower fuse box as I know this is a special job, ive had an electrician come out to look at it but he said I need to get someone who deals in power shower fuse boxes any ideas where I can get this person from?

Hi Helen

Most plumbers would be able to install a power shower unit if the electrical supply is already in place. If you don’t have a supply then consult a registered electrician for a quote.

My name is Ikke, 19, I have just finished my Electrical Installations City & guilds 2365 Level 2 Diploma, like so many I am seeking to gain experience paid or unpaid as I understand that the demand for competences is high. I intend to do my level 3, so aquiring any sort of experience would be beneficial, I am monumentally motivated and I know if given a opportunity and time, I could strive to become much more.

Many thanks.

Hi

I represent HV Training and would appreciate any constructive feedback on our website and the training requirements you have experienced.

From alot of the postings on this excellent site; our understanding is that most of you require additional training once you have completed your training courses? Is that the case?

Also how many of you would consider High Voltage training to supplement your electrical skills you have already?

Cheers Carl

I would like to discuss availability of an online basic AC Electrical Principles and Safety Course that could be delivered to our generator dealers world wide. If you are interested in an opportunity such as this could you e-mail me at your convenience please? I am a technical trainer and qualified to Part P, 17th edition etc. but recognize we need to provide training affiliated to a recognized body and standard and would be interested in discussing our needs with you.

I’ve been an electrician working in Bristol for two years now. On numerous times I have consulted electriciansblog and it has been very useful when I’ve had questions about jobs. Questions are answered quickly and efficiently. Thanks EB.

I am a 56 year old male who recently did and passed the 2330 level 3, the 17th edition, pats testing and I did a year of the BTEC electrical design, and I am looking for a company to give me a chance to work in the electrical industry.
